Welcome to the job fair! Are these occupations considered the LinkedIn Final Boss? Your resident family-friendly Kraken (that’s me!) has entrusted her rage elemental pal, Khan to check out the following movies. Which kinda work would you be down for? Read the reviews below!

Thanks again, Khaaaan!

A Working Man

“The movie tries to set the tone early showing us exactly how much of a badass Statham is supposed to be—it then wastes the first two acts having Statham wander from plot thread to plot thread including tropes like Russian gangsters and drug dealing biker gangs only to finish with a fairly unexciting shootout in the end. Not a horrible movie, but I can’t help but feel like Statham was wasted here.”

Score: 2.5/5

Ballerina

“While it starts slow, Ballerina manages to pick up the pace and deliver on the promises of action one would expect from a movie set in the John Wick verse. While Ana de Armas’ Eve isn’t quite as imposing as John Wick, and feels kind of tropey, she’s worth giving a chance. Once she gets a chance to stretch her legs, the character is a nice addition to the lore and mythology, and happily does well enough to satisfy fans looking for more stories out of the Continental.”

Score: 4/5

The Ritual

“While it looks like another take on the good old Exorcist story, The Ritual takes it in a bit of a different direction with a bit more focus on a crisis of faith and purpose rather than trying to just be scary. While it might disappoint people looking for a more straightforward scary story, the movie actually is interesting in its own right? Just…not really scary. Your mileage may vary (YMMV).”

Score: 2.5/5
