[Guest Review] The Shadow’s Edge is an amazing heist film with low-key spy elements and ferocious martial arts scenes

Jackie Chan is back with another high-adrenaline film featuring the next generation of action stars. Not only are the fight scenes totes fierce but the cast’s FACE CARD is lethal with Jun from SEVENTEEN making an appearance as well.

Your resident family-friendly Kraken (that’s me!) has enlisted her rage elemental pal, Khan, who happens to practice martial arts himself, to review this action-packed film. Read on to find out more!

“Despite being a Jackie Chan film, the martial arts takes a bit of a backseat in this film; less acrobatic and more ferocious when it’s there. While it starts out almost feeling like just another Police Story plot, The Shadow’s Edge almost plays out more like a Mission Impossible movie in its execution and being more of an action thriller, Jackie himself actually playing more of a supporting role to a wonderful cast who step up and pull off an AMAZING heist and low-key spy movie with a crazy amazing third act that will definitely leave you buzzing from the adrenaline.”

Score: 5/5 “No notes. Also, there is a post-credits scene so don’t miss it!”
