Written by National Artist Ricky Lee and scored by Vincent de Jesus, the film features a stellar ensemble cast led by Aicelle Santos, Kakki Teodoro, and Bituin Escalante, under the direction of Pepe Diokno.

In the midst of drought and famine in Baryo Cupang, a young woman named Elsa claimed to have been visited by the Blessed Virgin and granted the power to heal the sick. As people flocked to witness her miracles, Baryo Cupang was consumed by faith, prosperity, greed, and deceit.

Meanwhile, Flower Girl — which recently closed the New York Asian Film Festival (NYAFF) — stars Sue Ramirez as Ena, a woman on an absurd yet heartfelt journey of self-discovery after offending a trans woman babaylan (played by Kaladkaren) and waking up without a vagina. Written and directed by Patrick Tabada, the film is co-produced with The IdeaFirst Company (And the Breadwinner Is…, Die Beautiful) and Octobertrain (Bwakaw, Barber’s Tales). This modern Filipina tale of love, loss, and identity starts streaming on November 20.
