Would you believe that we are still going through January? Prime Video has a bunch of releases in store for 2026.

This is a play on the Wings song, “Band on the Run,” right? Because I sang it as soon as I read the title of this documentary series following Paul McCartney’s post-Beatles career. As a Beatles fangirl, I am immediately sold on this! 

 

I can’t believe we’re already at the final season of this delightfully unhinged superhero series. The previous season’s finale stressed me out so I’m hoping for some much-needed closure. (Protect my girl Kimiko at all costs!)

 

As a geeky vintage girly, I am locked in! I need to tide myself over before the next Spider-Verse film.

 

I will never get tried of watching women of a certain age kick serious butt. Here’s to more mature roles for mature women!

 

Curious to learn about the youthful folly of one Sherlock Holmes in the 1870s. Also, even though they haven’t met yet in this setting, I’m still hoping to see a glimpse of young Watson somewhere.

 

Yes, as in Elle Woods of Legally Blonde fame! We turn back the time to her younger years. I will feature more details in another post. 

 

 

Based on the Fallout video game franchise, the second season makes a ton of references to Fallout: New Vegas so gamers can expect to see some familiar faces on the screen—some are quite literally just faces on the screen. I shall fangirl more in a separate post!

 

 

The series based on the Tomb Raider video game franchise will feature Sophie Turner as Lara Croft and has recently started production. I talk about it more in a separate post that I shall link below, which also includes a first look into Turner rocking the fit.

The Darwin Incident (January 6, 2026)

The Animal Liberation Alliance, an eco-terrorist organization, rescues a pregnant chimpanzee from an animal testing lab-only for it to give birth to a half-human, half-chimpanzee “humanzee” named Charlie!
